1. Shiv Bhojan:
- The State Government has started the Shiv Bhojan scheme to provide affordable meals to the poor and needy.
- Under this scheme, a thali consisting of 2 chapatis, 1 bowl of vegetable curry, 1 bowl of dal, and 1 serving of rice is provided at just ₹10/-.
- Beneficiaries: Any individual
- Availability: Between 11.00 AM to 3.00 PM at Shiv Bhojan centers.
2. Fortified Rice:
- To address the problem of anemia in the country and state, the Government of India has decided to distribute fortified rice.
- FRK (Fortified Rice Kernels) made from rice flour are enriched with Iron, Folic Acid, and Vitamin B12. These are mixed with normal rice in a 1:100 ratio and distributed through PDS, PM Poshan (MDM), and ICDS schemes.
- Beneficiaries: Eligible families under Antyodaya Anna Yojana and Priority Household scheme.
3. APL Farmers:
- In 14 farmer suicide-affected districts of the state, APL (Orange ration card) farmers not covered under the National Food Security Act, 2013 are provided direct cash transfer instead of foodgrains.
- Since January 2023, beneficiaries receive ₹150/- per month, and from April 2024 onwards ₹170/- per month.
- Beneficiaries: Eligible APL (Orange Ration Card) farmer families.
- Benefit: Direct transfer of ₹170/- per month per beneficiary.
